Welcome to Presenting for the Small Screen
We designed a webinar series, based on The Presenter Framework, the material that we coach. Although we'll cover aspects in higher detail in-person, these nevertheless give you insight and background.
In this Workshop we'll explore the world of Online Presenting with the Original Presenter's Director, Nico Steyn. The buzzwords are STORYTELLING and ENGAGEMENT, but what does it really mean and how does it all work. Here's a broad overview of the MOVING PARTS OF ON-CAMERA PRESENTATION.

Part 1: What are We up Against?
Since COVID-19, everyone had to skill up to present on camera. But few presenters really bother to understand the disciplines of this space online. Knowing how to build EMPATHY & CONNECTION, while also being AUTHENTIC, are key to keeping audiences ENGAGED.
In this video we look at the landscape of online presenting and what your competition might be doing out there. Click the button to fill in your Cornerstone Position Sheet.
DownloadPart 2: How to Keep Audiences Engaged
Your audience has to do more than simply "be there" online. We need ENGAGEMENT, more importantly: We need them to REMEMBER what you said so they could recall that later. Hopefully they're so enthused, that they even REPEAT your message.
Let's take a look at The Shape of a presentation and how it rolls out for better engagement - and what words & phrases cause TUNE OUT!
DownloadPart 3: Creating Repeatable Messaging
Many coaches site STORYTELLING as the key component to getting better Audience Engagement. It's a real shame that most people are terrible at understanding STORY.
Explore opportunities in our content to build EMPATHY, make CONNECTION and trigger MEMORABILITY. In the end, this latter concept will ensure REPEATABILITY, which is what all great Presenters strive for.

Part 4: The Presenter Framework Intro
To compare apples to apples, it is necessary to have criteria that scores or gently critiques Presenters. To create a safe space, we ensure that we're all talking about the same thing.
In the video we explore the main twelve components of presentation, and how you could begin to discover your own Corner Stone Elements. Take a look at the elements in more detail, but you needn't fill out the form for now...
DownloadPart 5: The Basics of Structure
The very HEARTBEAT of every piece one ever presents, finds itself in STRUCTURE. While your BEGINNING, MIDDLE & END cover the basics, I really enjoy phrased Aristotle first assigned to these parts: the Complexity, Knot and Unravelling.
To end up with a tight, focussed structure, it's a good idea to expand your content and ensure you have the best kernels for your piece. Explore a little divergent thinking...
DownloadPart 6: How to Stand Out from the Crowd
We've explored what the competition are doing, where you'd like to position yourself and how your own beliefs and values find themselves in the structure and the words of the work that you present on camera.
Here's a little introspective to help define a little bit of a BHAG for your Presentation trajectory. Thank you for sticking on the journey with me!
